You are a self-healing, self-maintaining organism, and you are here to live a wonderful, magical, healthy life! You're meant to eat real, wholesome food, to play and move your body, to do fulfilling work, and to create the amazing life of your dreams.
Sounds pretty straight-forward, right? I don't know about you, but to me life can get a bit overwhelming at times. Between work and play and home and family and diet and exercise and money and...how do you balance everything out? I mean, seriously. It's hard being a person!
Especially when it comes to diet. There is so much confusing information out there that we truly don't know how to eat anymore. Well, let me rephrase that. We do know how to grab anything not nailed down and inhale it in three bites. We've got that down to a science! But, if being healthy is our goal, how do we know what to eat? Plants? Animals? Powdered sugar Bavarian cream-filled donuts?
Or, what the best diet is? Should we be going Paleo? Mediterranean? Macrobiotic? Vegan? Gluten-free? Raw? Cooked? High-carb? Low-carb? No-carb? Is coffee OK? What about dairy? What's a 'superfood'? And, when exactly did eating become so complicated??? Kinda makes you want to throw up your hands and scarf down a large pizza!
Well, I invite you to think about this for a minute: there is only one YOU in the world. And you are as unique on the inside as you are on the outside. So, maybe - just maybe - there is a diet that is right only for you. And a form of exercise that's right only for you. And a LIFE that's right only for you.
